The wife had a blood clot in her leg that set her in the hospital for 4 days. She's doing very good now though. I don't know about the rear bearings, I haven't gotten them yet, I just got lucky and found the part number.

I odered some Timkin's from Dayle a couple weeks ago and re-packed them just to be safe. The grease they came in seemed a little light for car applications. So, I just used the same grease we use on the swash plate on the helos at work.

sorry for the intrusion

Sorry to jump in on your thread but I'm getting ready to replace my wheel bearings so this thread caught my attention. What are they, are they better then stock and where can I buy them?

According to Timken's site, 516003 is the same bearing for the 2004-2004 Impreza WXR.

http://www.timken.com/industries/aut...rtCatalog.aspx

They also have rear crankshaft seals.
710235

It spreads across 10 different cars.

Yes, I've read the WRX uses the same bearings as us. I think I read it on wikipedia, But I'm not sure. You can find the Timken bearings at Autozone. They are said to be of great quality and they are the cheapest costing ones out there I've seen at 51.99 a piece.
