Vacuum line routing under Intake Manifold

I'd like to meet the idiot(genius) who designed the routing for the vacuum lines under the Intake manifold. Intake manifold - what a pain to remove!

In the process of removing the intake I broke a couple plastic pieces from some of the vacuum modules. Not the first time I've done this on a Scoobie. Darn! Just wish they did'nt put these little plastic modules right in the middle of all that heat so they can get brittle and break!

Oh well. They are fixable. I'm going to get the vacuum modules out from under there and re-route the vacuum lines to a better, more accesible place. Anyone else annoyed by this?
