Talking Alycone convinced me

Sorry I hadn't posted here before, didn't mean to be anti-social.

I got my '92 LS-L on March of '03 after experiencing a roll-over accident on Blewett Pass (Hwy 97) in my '94 GSX.

I currently live in Redmond, work in Bellevue.

I'm keeping this short as an introduction. Any questions, or if you wish to introduce yourselves, this is the time and place.

Good to know there's SVX enthusiasts up here. I see very many on the road, and whenever possible flash my high beam or honk my horn and get an occasional wave or thumbs up. Gotta love SVX owners.

Oh yea, mine's a silver with black, and it has orange/red SVX letters on the sides (I guess it came like that when it was originally purchased). When I first got it it was literally in mint condition. Had 51k miles. Ever since my company moved to the building it's at now, I've had numerous dings and bad dents, including a dent+scrape about the size of a football on the left side of my rear bumper. People don't respect other people's cars, and don't even leave a note apologizing!!

Oh well, I'll soon give her the bodywork she deserves.

HI Eddie and welcome! (I see you've been a member of the forums for quite a while, but welcome anyways!)

You will find a good share of the SVX enthusiasts in the Northwest area at Fall Colors Tour III on Oct. 16th, or any of the other Northwest SVX events held year round. Go to the site and sign up to be on the mailing list too!

Did you buy your car from someone that lived in Redmond? I remember seeing a car that fits your description (the SVX lettering on the side is very rare, much less to be on a silver one) almost every morning in Redmond when I lived there back in 2002.

Thank you! I will check out the mailing list registration, soon.

I bought my car from Doug's Lynnwood. It was the only one listed with low miles at the time.

There is another silver one that I've seen at that one autoshop park where the Dyno authority place is at. It's been wrecked. Rumor has it the guy's taking the engine and tranny off of it and will transplant it into a Legacy or something. Not sure if that's a legit rumor or what (someone from work told me about it).

When I first got my car I lived in Graham/Puyallup. I then moved to Renton shortly after, and finally to Redmond at the end of March of this year, so if you've seen a silver one with the SVX letters around that time frame, it could be mine... Otherwise, unless the previous owner lived in Redmond, I don't think it was. But if you do see me on the road, don't hesitate to wave.

Hey Eddie

I work in Redmond as well, live up in Edmonds. You might see me around one of these days. I have a teal '92 with quite a few mods., feel free to check out my locker under "balser" if you wish. -Matt

Now you gotta attend our local meets!

Good choice in color. I drive through Redmond every so often (my film developer and a few friends are there), haven't seen you though. Roll over? - ouch!

As soon as I get my car back from Chaplin's next week you may see me rolling.

Yea, the roll-over (more of a full flip, since it hopped on it's side, landed on its roof, then continued rolling til it was upright again) sucked badly... I got a concussion and it caused me to be nauseous (spelling?) for almost a month! It's amazing what a few messed up wires in your brain can do, hehe.

I really miss my GSX. I may get another one, but my SVX keeps me happy in the meantime.

I'm amazed at the built quality of SVX's. Even my coworker's WRX seems like an econobox next to my SVX. And to think he's a 2002 and mine's a '92...

I will keep my eyes and ears open for local meets. Due to my work schedule, I can't make any promises, but whenever I can make the time I will.

Thank you, and I hope so too! I should hear back from Chaplin's today on the status of my baby... I hope to get her back by this next week.

You have any idea how shaky I've gotten from withdrawals? Almost 2 months!

Welcome!

Hey Eddie, happy to see another proud owner in the area. I Live in Newcastle, work on Mercer Island, and attend classes at LWTC in Kirkland. Since you're so close let me know if you'd be interested in a quick introduciton/mini meet somewhere on the east side. I'm sorry about your GSX!, you'll have to tell me how it happened sometime.

Anyways, I'm happy to read that you got your car back from Chaplin's and to see a new nearby member on the board.

-Elliot
