Uh, not normal. Serious? Depends on where the oil is coming from.
Could be as simple as a bad PCV valve. Definitely bears looking into. Also, you sure it's coming "out" of the T/Bs and not going into the intake tube, then into the T/Bs. |

well i know its from the t/b's because it puddle into the black box that connects to them, the rest of the piping doesnt have any oil in it, where is the pcv valve?

Maybe it's your internal manifold.

It's under the black cover in the center of your intake manifold, and I doubt it.

ok, looked into it further and noticed the line that goes from the pcv valve into my intake had a **** load of oil come out into my intake, so if i get a new pcv valve there will be little oil in my intake??

That's a possibility but I don't think that's the cause of your problem. For now remove the valve and test it by shaking it and seeing if the thingy inside moves freely. If not, you need a new one.

I love your technical terminology... I have no clue what you're talking about.

tried to take the pcv off.... stuck like a rock... now its nearly stripped it on there so tight, ill have to take the manifold off to do it now.... it looks rusty and corroded so i would image it probly isnt any good...and its making it so i have a bad hesitation until i burn it all up... if that makes sense.....

If your PCV valve is rusted something is wrong, or maybe that's just a problem with you continental guys. I don't understand how rust gets all over your engine. You might be ok just getting a new valve and taking it to a shop and just tell them to change it (and only that). Either your oil problem will be done, or it will persist and gum up your new valve. Even with it stuck open I don't think you should be getting globs of oil coming out of there. Are you driving up steep grades?
-- I didn't see the part where you said you'd take the mani off. That's good, too.

took off the pcv valve and put a new one on, the old one turned out to be fine, but how am i getting so much sludge in my intake??

Look at all the oil breather hoses that converge at the intake. That's where the oil's coming from. If your engine isn't losing a measurable amount of oil between changes, billowing blue smoke under acceleration, or making scary knocking sounds, forget about it.

Oil in the T/B and intake manifold
As part of another project (changing of old Vac Hoses) I removed my intake manifold and found some oil in the intake housing, intake manifold and the risers. Some sludge is forming around the valve guides. I traced the oil source from the intake housing hoses to the oil seperators on the valve covers (lots of oil in the lines on the pass side, not so much on the driver's side). PCV valve is nearly new and works fine (the line is free of oil as well).
Question 1: How much oil is OK, and how much is too much. Question 2: What (if any) parts can go bad in the seperators or is there a service I need to perform on them.
