This is a great deal.
I am looking to purchase something similar for well its dropped down to $800.00 for one of my babies. It was at $1,000. from a car audio place. The screen folds down and the cd/mp3/dvd player is revealed.

I got a great deal at an after thanksgiving day sale. One of those ones I had to get up at 130 in the morning and wait for hours in line for so I could fight with other cusotmers to get this thing. And now we aren't even going to use it.

Maybe I should ask more.

lol....! I have never done that before accept wait for hours in an over crowded gymnasium waiting for my kids to have their pictures taken with Dora the Explorer. A would not do that for just anyone as I had three in diapers at the time.

Well I sure hope someone here takes it off your hands.

I am sure I will find a taker. I am asking under retail for a great product and I run Postal Operations for the military in Western Europe so the package will get into the US postal system quickly and will be treated well.

It's a win win situation for all involved.

Will it even fit an svx since the radio slot is recessed into the dash?

I don't know if it will fit. I am not an SVX expert. I am sure there are plenty of SVX experts here that know though. I actually thought you would know.

No one said it had to go in an SVX though.

They way they come out and pop up, it comes to a right angle. With our cars this would not work due to being recessed. However, if you could set it to only come up like 75* angle isntead of 90*, you should have no issues putting it in the lower din slot, and putting say cubby hole in upper. Great deal though, if i had the $$$ for it, i'd be all over it, but motor mounts come first. Sorry, and gl with sale.

I am not worried about the sale. I am askign well below retail. I didn't figure many peopel here would be interested in it anyway. I would hate to be wrong and for one of you all to miss a great opportunity though.
I posted over on NASIOC and I figure I will get a taker from the crowd over there.

JaySVX, I agree that performance upgrades come before appearance and ICE. That is why this thing has been new sitting in the garage for the past few months. We are workign on swapping out the mid and Y-pipe on our LGT right now. That takes priority.

If you go to Crutchfield that model is listed as doable with these comments:

Installation Details
Modified Fit - Requires Modification

Installation Details for your 1992 SVX

» To install this product, you’ll have to modify your vehicle.
» Use the brackets that came with your factory stereo to install your new receiver.
» A wiring harness is not available. You will need to splice into the factory wires.

So of course it would be nice if they said what modification or how.......Of couse we know we can get a harness....

I'm guessing they just mean that you have to splice wires...?
