We will definatly be there, myself, the wife and Dante our 92 dark teal LS-L. I hope to see Frankenwedge there too, I used to have an XT and I can't imagine one with all that horsepower. I just joined the website, but have owned Dante for about 6 months. I always wanted an SVX but I never found the right car till now.

And I plan on bringing FrankenWedge (and my SVX) to the meet....so we'll see about getting you a ride in it

We have not decided if we are going to be there yet.

....We do have actual dates for the meet.
....We do have an actual hotel with rates.
....We do have a signup sheet.

DONT's

....We don't have an actual agenda as of yet.
....We don't have final plans for the plant tour.
....We don't know if Subaru/SIA has been contacted to inform them of our return engagement, so
....we don't know if Subaru/SIA will be willing to support this meet as they did in 2002.

....and if nothing is done to address the dont's...

....We don't know how many members will be willing to stand around in a parking lot for 4
....days just looking at each other's cars
....and fondly remembering what a blast the 10th Anniversary meet was.

The Lafayette meet will be a hard act to follow and I don't see as much interest and enthusiasm for this meet as back in 2002

Reading always seems to generate more excitement than any other meet. Reading signup is 38+, while the fifteenth is only 40.

But heck, it's only 190 days away!

I set those dates for the hotel IN CASE some were to coma a day early of stay a day late. If I did not you would have to pay a much higher rate to stay that extra day. Just being considerate. Also did this with the plant tours in mind since when those are setup they will be fri and mon from what I understood.

Thanks John. Maybe this group shoulld offer a catch phrase prize to drum up interest; like "Did we mention free Italian Pastry... or free five speed ?"
I guess SOA marketing or lack thereof is still alive and well.

But Reading is a much closer date, hopefully more interest will come into play a little closer to the fall, and many fisrt time meeters at Reading may decide they'd like to go to another big meet, and show up too.

I still take time out to fondly remember the 10th Anniversary meet. I think friends and family are disgusted with me about how excited I still am just thinking about how much fun it was and how incredible it was to see the sea of SVXs....
The only good thing about getting older was that I had this meet to look forward to! While I can't commit to it yet (I will be going full-time to Graduate School and Working full-time), we'll see what magic I can work out.
I don't think I can "not" go... I've been waiting 5 years for it!
