Need help. Rear window.

Rear window will not close. Looking for suggestions from those smarter than I.

Have you tried both the switch by the window and the switch on the drivers door?

Does it make any noise?

If you had to jiggle it, it may need a new switch.

I recently repaired my broken window switches. My drivers window control buttons were all but not working. If you take them apart, you'll find that the switch has a little stick that goes down and makes connections with terminals when you press the button. These sticks are held in place by thin plastic, which commonly breaks. While i had mine apart, i took out the switches and little sticks, and they were broken, so you could press the button and the switch would stay in position.

I took some crazy glue and pretty much filled the cavity which holds the little stick, the glue that drys instantly almost. I gave it a few more minutes to dry, put the switch back in, and boom, now i have stiff, firm feeling window switches in the driver side door. I plan to do the rest of my switches this weekend, i'll take pictures of what it looks like and what you want to do, but they're easily repaired if you can get a good look at them. Unless the under-sides are completely distroyed, they're repairable to feel like they did origionally. I'm working on seeing if i can modify them so that they are less fragile, by making my own. If i'm successful, i'll surely put in a write-up on how to do it. Currently my plans for this would not exceed a cost of 5$ for the 4 switches on driver window controls.

That sounds great. I have a couple of them that I could work on if I know what to do. Take pictures and write up what you did. I will put it in the How-To Docs. If you do the other modification, write that up too. Thanks for this post.
