It can be done with the help of two little screwdrivers, that's how I did mine.

(dredging up an old thread)

I just replaced my front pads, using the tips above (and following Porter's suggestion).

Here's yet another front brake "how-to" by Kastle on ScoobyMods. A bit colorful, but does have a few tips nobody mentioned above.

"anti-squeak compound"? Didn't know there was such a thing. Hmm, I wonder if I can go back and add that...

BG makes a brake anti-squeak/comes in a littler bottle.. looks like graphite . You place it on the face of the bad. Yes that's right the FACE of the pad.. let it soak into the pad and reapply.. Look around at any GM dealership they should have it very cheap .. amazing stuff. and it works. BG anti squeal and yes you can go back and add it later
