are they really not budging still? wow i have never heard of test samples and lawyers getting involved.... its going to be cheeper for them to just replace the engine by the time this is over...

98 Ford Windstar (122K) is basicly history.

You were probably lucky to get that far. They don't all run 300,000 + miles like subaru

No Kidding. I've been telling him for the last year to sell it while it still works. He already went through a $2300 tranny replacement a couple years back.

But the jury(Blackstone Labs) is in and they say elevated levels of potassium and sodium indicate the existence of antifreeze in oil. So I guess its a head gasket. So now he has two cars with dead motors in my driveway and he went and bought an 07 Corolla. Anyway, I appreciate the help and support.
