Brakes, what they come with
I need to change the caliper seals (one of my boots has a little hole in it) and am planning to get new shims (mine are kinda bent) and guide pins. The seal kit comes with one for both sides correct? So do the guide pins and shims come in pairs as well? Subaruparts diagram confuses me...

Hi steve I have the rubber parts if you want to buy them I will sell them to you. I also have the pistons. Count on the pistons you have being rusty. Once the boot rips or gets a hole, salt and water gets in there and messes it up. This is one reason the pistons freeze up. I have to tell you that replacement caliphers are less money than buying the parts and rebuilding.

I have an unopened box containing a set of Subaru front brake pads. I'll open them up and take for you. I'll have to do it over the weekend as I'm not home during the week.

Here's a pic of the brake pads and shims that come in the Subaru front brake kit. I have already put on the rears, but they come with the same stuff except for the stange clips (as seen in the upper right corner of the pic).
