With that paint and the new wheels on the Beans, I think it's the sportiest looking Outback yet.

As for the engine, I drove a '99 with the 2.5L, and I thought it was "adequate", so I think the H-6 should be a good fit.
I've never seen a Black Mica over Onyx Metallic outback, but I saw that combo when I drove the pre-production baja's and it was amazing!

the single tone seamist is very nice. I've always been fond of seamist anyway, and it looks great as a single tone color. Have you seen the new moonlight metallic on the bottom? I think it comes on the white ones... It looks very nice.

Well, now you've seen one:

The only new colors we have in Maine so far are this one and the mono Titanium. I've seen the Moonlight in the brochure, and I don't really care for it. I'm just not a big fan of beigey, creamy colored cars, and I detest that Frost White. I think the Moonlight trim might look good with Black or Regatta, or even the old Arctic White, though. My only complaint on the Black/Onyx is that the grill looks like it has a little bit of brownish tint to it, like it belongs on a car with the Titanium or Moonlight Trim.

I love frost white. It reminds me of the svx white color.

It's a quiet car, but the engine's not as smooth as the SVX's.

Very true, but it does seem to have a bit of a growl to it. More so than the SVX. Although the overall quietness and smoothness of the car is really impressive.
