knock sensor

okay 6 months ago I had the left sensor replaced now my check engine light is on and guess what? its the other knock sensor. I told the service manager they should have recommended the other sensor as the part is only like $30. I showed him the TSB stating to replace both sensors and he said that TSB is for only 92-95 SVX's. Does any one have a manual for OBDll cars? so I can show this prick he his wrong. Thanks, Victor

Well I don't have the info to answer your question but I do believe the customer is always right/correct.

To give you an example. I had Honda CRX and the ac died. The high pressure hose was bad. I got it replaced at a garage. When I found out the hose was bad I asked for the other one to be replaced also. They were both made of carbon steel and had a lot of RUST on them. Not like the aluminum in a SVX.

I was assured it was not a problem. The other hose was good. Well I was thinking more along the lines of 1.5 hours to drop off and pick-up the car, 1-1/2 days with no car, refill the ac system twice.... This is all a major inconvencience to me and more money.

Well I didn't press the issue and 4 weeks later the hose failed.

And I'll I had to say was "Put the other hose in also".

Live and learn.
