wtb Sunroof-moonroof parts

Anyone out there have a sunroof track that works and is intact?

My sunroof sticks right before it drops down and completely closes. I have cleaned and greased the track, but it didn't seem to do any good.

It appears to be getting hung up on the passenger side when it goes to close. I have to get out and push that side forward until it clicks. Then it closes fine.

The dealer once told me I needed to replace the track, but they quoted me an astronomical price.

Anyone have any ideas or parts?

You may want to try tightening up the clutch on the electric motor. Do a search for " sunroof" and there should be some instructions on exactly how to do it (it's pretty easy from what I recall).

Someone had mentioned that before; however, when I couldn't get it to close after I cleaned it, I got the alan wrench out and tried to hand crank it. It wouldn't budge. I really think it is catching on something, but I'll give it a try.

If it doesn't move using the wrentch, I would check the track and try to see where it is hanging up. If may not take much and a little adjustment might do the trick. Sove of the dealerships will suggest replacement instead of fixing because of the price, or time involved in looking for the problem.
