O2 Sensor

I get a code 37 from the ecu, which is O2 sensor #2 (LH). The CE lights only comes on occasionally. How catastrophic is this? Can the car continue to be driven? Is it running the 2 banks at different mixtures? Also, how hard are they to change???

Thanks,
CJ

You're probably running rich (high HC and CO) on that bank. Although if one is going the other may not be far behind. But at $75 a sensor its a hard call. I replaced both O2 sensor's on my SVX and subsequently passed the local vehicle emmision test . Took about 10-15 minutes per sensor to install. Running rich is baaad for the catalytic converters.

I just had it emission tested and it passed..... any likelyhood of it being a loose connection or something???? The CE light has come on shortly after I start driving and goes off after a few seconds. It's very intermittent though.
