I will be selling my SVX and bought this to replace it

Quite simply, I was getting bored with my SVX. Even though it's unique, easy to work on and cheap to operate, it just wasn't doing it for me anymore.

This is a bad ass vehicle. 4.5 L V8. It even has a low-range transfer case and center diff lock so you can take the fu*cker off road. Love at first site. :-)

Re: I will be selling my SVX and bought this to replace it

I've decided I'm going to keep my SVX. With a new paint job and rack and pinion, it's in great shape. I don't think it's worth selling them if you have a nice one because they just haven't held their value over the years. I'm sure others would agree.

Re: I will be selling my SVX and bought this to replace it

That's kind of why I've kept mine. They're worth more to me than I could ever get for them. Even with all their problems.
If I can keep the '97 from turning to dust for another 10 years it might be worth something.
It's hard to believe with only 51 sold in Canada, they are still virtually worthless.

After seeing (on The Velocity channel) some of the crap cars that make big bucks at auction our time has to come soon (still dreaming for that time).

Live life on the edge. Four-wheelin' is always a lot more fun with just one hand on the wheel... Anything else is just steering.

Seriously, Sweet ride.

Re: I will be selling my SVX and bought this to replace it

After much debate and contemplating new cars and their pros and cons, I can confidently say that new cars became purely commercial mostly.

I owned and drove the 350z from 2007 till 2013. Everything inside it said cheap. My dad's previous 79 Datsuns 240 and 280ZX had much better material put into them. Inflation is increasing, overhead is too... to stay competent, manufacturers are simply bargaining with the quality of their cars. I might buy a new car in the future, replace the new car with another, but never let go of the SVX.

yes, because fake suede and plastic wood = quality.

Re: I will be selling my SVX and bought this to replace it

I would call it Suede, even though it is not leather. I don't know what Subaru used but, I have swatches of Alcantara that are a close match to the SVX interior. Ultrasuede was invented by the Japanese and, apparently, it is also good enough for Ferrari and Lamborghini to use it.
