ECU/TCU reporting low RPMs

I "think" the tach is accurate and the ECU is reporting low. I assume this is a sensor issue. Anyone ever have an issue with it?

Re: ECU/TCU reporting low RPMs

Over the select monitor. I am using JECScan to read the ECU/TCU parameters.

Error in the definition formula converting the hex to real numbers ?

I had this with the ECUTuner.... ECU and TCU erev numbers were not the same....

The ECU RPM calculated by the ECUTuner matched the tach gauge when I messed with it. I would bet that it's a calculation error too.

Husky, when you say that you think it's a sensor issue, do you mean crank/cam sensors? I don't think that an issue with those would allow the engine to run, but report the wrong RPM.
