They have attracted a lot of dirt due to the light coating of moly grease I applied to the shock bodies in order to prevent the aluminum adjuster rings from seizing to the steel threaded shock bodies.
The powder coating is really tough too! I lightly knocked off some dust with a wire brush while adjusting ride height and it didn't seem to harm it.
Also compared my new BC racing coilovers for my E30 to the Ceikas, and the craftsmanship is on the same level. I do like the adjuster/lockrings from Ceika better though.
How about those pics? I hope you're home by now anyway

Re: Ceika Coilovers Summary

I'm wondering if anyone else ordered them more recently. I am concerned about how long it took for people to get their orders and if Ceika modified the fitment to make 100% right. It would be nice if B4 You would come back and let us know if they came in a month and a half or not. It would be nice to be able to order with confidence.

He cancelled his order and bought Racelands, then bagged it with an STI kit.
My order took a little over 3 weeks from the time I placed it to the time it arrived on my doorstep. ~2+ weeks to make, 4 days to ship.
Only fitment issues were they used the STI bolt spacing for the front knuckles (3" vs the SVX's 2.75"), so I had to grind the lower holes like you would with any other STI suspension, and the rear brake brackets were the newer "clip in" style vs the 2 welded nuts like we need. You can see my solution to the rear brake brackets below. Everything else fit perfectly.

I forgot to take pics, but camber plates for the rear are limited in adjustment due to the opening for the top of the struts in our rear deck lids. I'd probably get fixed pillowball and adjust camber via adjustable lateral links if I had to do it again. I'll take a picture next time I take apart the back interior.

Heh, I forgot to post. Been heading straight to the studio after work the past few days since my band is recording.

Unboxing:

Comparing stock to new rears:

Rears installed. They didn't have the correct brake line brackets so I just used zip ties because race car

Remote damper adjuster location. I guesstimated that 50cm (~18in) would be long enough and they were.

How she sits now. Lowered about 2"-2.5" from stock (didn't take any "before" measurements, guessing from subtracting badly measured values from center hub to fender edge and subtracting from stock ride height specs )

I bought a set 11 days ago and they just arrived today. I guess they had it on hand. They look good. Going on tomorrow or Saturday.

Re: Ceika Coilovers Summary

The reasons for the initially delay, which, I believe are fully substantiated at this point, were due to a certain person who essentially up and left and screwed over the company and left them with tens of thousands of unpaid custom duties. I was involved with Mike's order initially and the entire process as it happened. The units have physically changed in construction, but seem to still be quality. When I was adjusting Mike's upon arrival and dialing them in to set precise height, they were extremely easy to adjust and lock.

How do I come across the remote dampers? Should I have asked for those or do they come from somewhere else?

Re: Ceika Coilovers Summary

You have to specify them when you order. (they're an add-on option) And also are able to specify any length you wish.

*or at least were. Perhaps things are different now but I doubt it.

I also want to add that around a year ago I had some specific questions and was able to get direct responses from Cedric through their facebook page within 24 hrs and was extremely helpful.

Nice, looks like Ceikas right now are our best source for coilovers.

It might have even took only 10 days but I somehow input the compression rates backwards and they e-mailed me and asked whether that was intended or not and said they wouldn't ship anything until hearing back from me which took a number of hours.

On the ordering screen, you type in any little request not available in the drop-down lists in the "Comments" box. That's where I specified for 50cm remote dampers.

They're definitely worth it. They were a little harsh at first, but after a couple thousand miles to settle and my choice of adding helper springs, they ride nicely on smooth roads.

Re: Ceika Coilovers Summary

So the shop doing my install said the coilovers are 3 inches too short and want me to come in and give them guidance. What is the proper height adjustment procedure? Do I just take the wrench and crank it up or what?

So I was under the impression these things are height adjustable. The guy installing them says no. Am I wrong on that?

Do I need to reuse the top mount or by selecting "Fast Road/Lowering" did I buy a shorter set?

I'm pretty sure they just screw up and down, right?

Re: Ceika Coilovers Summary

the two blue rings will screw up and down on the threaded shaft to adjust spring rate and preload, the bottom part that attaches to the knuckle also threads on the same shaft to adjust ride height.

Thank goodness, I thought I was going crazy. Luckily I was able to call them a few minutes after closing time to tell them that.

Here's to hoping they figure it out. :S

I can't believe your shop could not see or figure that out, look at the bottom where the strut connects to the knuckle you can easily see threads and the bottom of the strut.
