Phrase first used in the Bruce Willis "Die Hard" film 1988

Main terrorist Hans: Mr. Mystery Guest, are you still there?

John Mcclane: Yeah, I'm still here.

Hans: Who are you exactly? Someone who watched too many action movies as a child and thinks he's John Wayne, Rambo, Lewis Stevens?

Mcclane: Actually I was kind of partial to Roy Rogers myself. Always liked those sequin shirts.

Hans: Do you really think you can stop us, Mr.Cowboy?

Mcclane: Well, Yippie-Ki-Yay MotherF**ker!

The word "yipee" is an old western cowboy exclamation of extreme joy, similar to "whoopee"

Re: my new personal (vanity) plate

Thanks, Dayle.

Although my recollection was pretty close, the actual dialog from Die Hard I was referring to went like this:

Hans Gruber: [on the radio] Mr. Mystery Guest? Are you still there?

John McClane: Yeah, I'm still here. Unless you wanna open the front door for me.

Hans Gruber: Uh, no, I'm afraid not. But, you have me at a loss. You know my name but who are you? Just another American who saw too many movies as a child? Another orphan of a bankrupt culture who thinks he's John Wayne? Rambo? Marshal Dillon?

John McClane: Was always kinda partial to Roy Rogers actually. I really like those sequined shirts.

Hans Gruber: Do you really think you have a chance against us, Mr. Cowboy?

John McClane: Yippee-ki-yay, mother****er.

This last line was used in the first four Die Hard films and the line was quoted as being #96 of the 100 best movie lines of all time.

And A Good Day to Die Hard delivered this limp version of that famous line. Worthless.

Sorry Di, brain fart. Somehow I remembered the scene closely (#4), but not correctly. After searching the web, I posted the correct dialog in a new post (#8), replacing Lewis Stevens with Marshal Dillon.

I haven't a clue who Stevens is.
