New Problem... it just dies.

So my i took apart the tranny and installed the new solenoids myself so im not stuck in 2nd anymore, but now its developed a new problem. when im driving, itll just lose power and the revs will just slowly go down. most of the time i give it a little more gas and it comes back, but sometimes it just goes all the way down and dies. im thinking the pump, but whatever ideas or advice you have would help. thanks

when you say it just dies, are you saying that the motor is dying or that the trans is dying, if it is the motor i would suggest checking the ground on the pass side of the motor on the back of the intake manifold, make sure you didnt hit it and damage it while taking out or putting back in the torque converter bolts

Make sure all your air intake hoses are connected, especially the tricky ones under the plastic air intake. It's happened to me when I checked my air filter that I knocked a smaller hose loose and my car wouldn't idle after that.

knocking off a vacuum hose will cause an engine to idle rough, drive rough, and randomly die. If it runs normally prior to dying, it's likely not a vacuum hose. I would check that ground though. Did you disconnect the battery when you did the tranny? If so, is the negative terminal on securely?

i had a split vacuum hose once that caused my car to run like crap and not idle at all, it was the big one on the drivers side that goes into the throttle body
