Tom on Back Stretch

Attached (finally!!) is a pic of Tom on the back stretch at the Challenge. Even in the rain, the power was tremendous!!

Tom, PM me your e-mail and I will send a couple of "advance" shots before I send a CD (I have your snail-mail address).

Didn't realize "Billy" had already posted this same pic - he's smarter than I am, being a rocket scientist and all that

But that is a good pic, isnt it!! And that rain was what "we" had to run in during the morning - more rain during Tom's runs than mine. Very little rain when I ran, actually, but still plenty wet. AND with the ONLY "stock" SVX there to run!!

Harry

Yeah we have plenty of lug nuts. I'd check out autozone for a remplacement stud though rather than a used one. I think they're only like $3 or so. Just pm Dave or I with your address.

Found an Impreza guy's site with a gazillon (yes, that's a technical term ) pics on it....he apparently loved the RaceCar, kinda like TomJ's and Battlestar, and hated the Anomaly and Harry's car (i.e No Pics of them )...oh, yeah, he took a couple pics of Chike's car in the Challenge round

Wipers on for safety!

Hungry RaceCar!

I think this is Chike driving his car...

On that cone! (I believe this cone did fall over )

Monster Tires!

Enjoy! I'll dump the rest in my locker -- Subaru Challenge 9-16-2006 folder -- tomorrow.

-Bill

Thanks Bill. The link to this guy's site with over 1,000 pics is here:

http://dave.oc7.org/images/2006.09.16.subaru.challenge/

I just found it a 1/2hr ago, and my slow dial-up at home has only allowed me to go through a few pics on each page. IIRC, I saw at least 3 of TomsSVX's car, MANY of the RaceCar and quite a few of Bill's car. Didn't see any off hand of Ben's XT, but I also didn't see any of mine (since my car kinda blended in ).

Oh well, it's super late and I need to be in bed.

Chike

P.S. Btw Bill, that pic of my WRX in the Challenge Round was off me driving... I was #80.

Tom

this must be a variation of "the beatings will continue until morale improves"

good to see you and, from the looks of the pics in Old Tom's locker, you kept busy on the roof of his addition on Sunday

-Bill
p.s. you know, your car will be faster with race tires on it...hint, hint...like RX-7 rims with 245/45 Hoosiers on them...hint, hint
p.p.s I uploaded several more pics to my locker -- more of the RaceCar and your car

I said, I'll get them up when I get home... I'm just getting home now, give me a minute...

Maybe if you were in this much of a rush out on course you would have had a better time

-Bill

Check the link in my signature for the basics. Let me know what else you want to know.

And to everyone else...
My gallery is up, I also included the pics by Dave Wujcik from the link that Chike posted. I pulled out all of the shots of the Alcyone's that he got.

We only have two more. Next Sunday we are at Park City in Lancaster, and then at the end of October we are in Florida for the GRM Challenge. Our region has their season finale' the Sunday that we'll be returning from Florida.

The good news is that Ben is locked for First in Class for the Season and I'm a point away from locking 2nd place.

Think I found the picture of the Forester at the end of its run that beat Ben by over 2 seconds....

I believe they also left their spare tire in the back and stopped for coffee while on the course

That isn't what ran against me. I think that was street touring or something. The car that ran against me had its entire rear interior out. Funny, when did Bill start writing the rules for Stock classes for the SCCA? Had I not been handicapped by rain I know I would've been giving Bill a run for the money especially if I didn't give him the advice he needed to take 2.5 seconds off his time for the last run
