Check out the Spring Meet @ Annapolis Subaru. I'm going to try to drum up some more support for it so the SVXi will make a good showing.

It's WAY closer than the Dragon.

You might be surprised

But really, it's not a race at the meet, we have to share the road with everyone else, including the hundreds of motorcycles that flock there in the summer.

So, I guess I'm gonna make reservations this week. I had some questions, but the XT site answered most all of them. Are the cabins far from the inn?? I notice you are in a cabin huck. Just checking because I have no idea just how large this place is. Is the discount still available? I didn't notice a deadline.

I was thinking about getting a room for three nights and getting there friday night. Bad call?? should I plan to be there all day friday? I was planning on working thur. But if you guys have something planned for friday... Guess I should find out how late I can check in first, huh.

Subafreak, when do you plan on heading down?

There will be a couple people there Thurs night, but most are showing up sometime Friday (I'll be there around noon Friday).

I'm not sure exactly which cabin I'll be in but everything is in walking distance, some closer than others to the inn.

We'll probably be hanging out in a parking lot staring at cars, and bench racing through out most of the daytime, plus a few scenic drives, a "Group Cookout/Bonfire" Sat. night…plus “Group Pic” Sat afternoon sometime…..usually on the baseball field…

Otherwise, you find some new friends to hang out with, and maybe make a few Dragon Passes though out the weekend….

We've got a member over at www.xt6.net that has a cabin rented, and looking for someone to split costs with, if anyone is interested, let me know.

Only 35 days to go

And I only have BOTH of my Alcyones to fix ....

Huck's gonna be a busy little beaver the next few weeks......

Should I bring something to contribute to the BBQ??
I don't really have a way of keeping anything cold like meat. But I could always buy a cooler and find some ice. I'll probably end up bringing a bunch of soda and chips anyway. Now I wish I hadn't chucked the cooler last year

About how many people are showing up anyway?

...I wonder if my swim suit still fits.

Can't wait!

A basic Dragon meet goes something like this....

As for activities, we don't have a set scedule, but it usually goes something like...
Friday hang out around the resort checking out each others cars, and waiting for the straglers to make it in...maybe a pass or 2 across the Dragon....and maybe a drive to Robbinsville for a bite to eat.
Sat. usually a group drive across the Cerahola <sp?> Skyway to Tellicao Plains, (Usually eat lunch there)and back around and across the Dragon back to Fontana Village Resort.
Then Group pictures, with all the cars, parked on the baseball field
then a cookout Sat Night, and lots of bench racing around the fire.
Sundy, Mostly breakfast, then people start leaving as some have further to travel than others.

There is always time to do some of your own thing, make several Dragon Runs, or drive the "Hellbender" section of Hwy 28, go to view some of the local Dams, and nature trails...there are stables to rent horses, more than I can fit in this space, and more than you can fit into a weekend if you like the outdoors...

There is a wide array of ages represented at this meet.
Hope to meet some new SVXers at the meet this year.
