Anybody looking to autox in PA area this weekend???

It seems that Dave has flown the coup and is heading to Florida for the weekend. I'll be racing up at Frackville Mall (about exit 130 or so on 81 in PA). Without Dave there is an open slot on the racer. Provided you promise not to flatspot by locking up the brakes the tires the drive could be yours. Cost is about $30 unless your an SCCA member. NEPA SCCA usually runs 2x, once in the am and once in the pm and you usually get 4 runs. Granted it is a smaller course but 1st person who'll commit will have a huge grin all next week.

Bring her along! Dave gave his mom a ride for her birthday this past weekend and his times were better than his comp runs.

Bill on a Sunday drive? Heck, we could run it without oil at the speeds you drive from the results I've seen from FedEx.

Ben,
Fixed your post.

Even though nobody was there to compete in class so I was a trophy winner just for crossing the finish line I still posted the top 3 or 4 times of the day. That's right, an SVX with the raw FTD!!! Short course, my best was a 28.58, closest raw was a 28.8 or so. I know if I could've gotten the one turn right (tight 90 that I had to come to virtually a complete stop to get through because I was afraid I'd get the rear coming around to far) I would have made it into the high 27s. Sad thing is I had 10 times to hit it right but couldn't manage 1 good turn there. Imagine what we could do if the car handled like some of the street prepared cars do.

Ben,
Congrats!
A 28-29 second course? Where'd they set it up, a McDonald's parking lot?
-Bill
p.s. Our last SCCA event is the 9th (next Sunday) and we've got the "A" lot at FedEx -- it's even bigger than the E/F lot we've used all season! Yeah, yeah, I can hear you thinking...."even more time to break something"

Not a huge lot but had a not quite straight, straight-away that I was able to cruise up to about 70ish before having to slam on the brakes for the finish stop box that was well impossible for me to come to a stop in without locking 'em up. Normally they're running in the 40s there. It's backyard PA running as the lot was last paved in the eighties and has grass growing up through the cracks. My teeth are still chattering!!

Not up just yet but here is the link. Even beat me a formula V! Granted it was his first outing in her I'll probably be listed driving a WRX as apparently they "corrected" my sign in slip with an actual model they had heard of. It'll be the Oct 2nd results when its up.
