Bearings... What are the effects?

My bearings are getting noisy. Not bad at all yet. I have to turn off the radio and AC, and lean into the back seat, and i can barely hear them. I checked with the dealer, and they want around $530 to do the both, which is reasonable. However, as reasonable as that may be, I dont have the money. I have about 1000 miles of driving planned for the next week-2 weeks. The question is, whats gonna happen to my car if i drive with the bearings on their way out?

It'll get noisier.

Really, chances are that it will only get noisier.

My rear bearings where already making enough noise to easily be heard over the radio when I bought it back in September, and I just had them replaced a week ago.

During that time I drove over 200 miles every weekend, and over Thanksgiving drove from Kansas City to Detroit and back. I put over 6000 miles on them, and although I had visions of the wheels flying off the car as I went around corners, nothing other than an increase in noise happened.

So just turn up the radio, enjoy the drive, and you should be fine.

bearings

when you say screaming, do you mean they start to sound like a hardwear store key cutter?
