Question Door mirror

I've had a string of bad luck with my SVX as of late! Someone whacked my driver-side mirror and it is hanging off by a cord! I need to take it off, but can't seem to figure it out. Can anyone offer some advice please?

Thanks a lot!!! Mango

Mango,

Checking my Chiltons manual (80% correct, 20% "Where'd they get that from?!")

You'll have to remove the door panel to get to the electrical connector. Be careful of the connection to the window switch. PITA to disconnect. The door panel itself was pretty easy to remove. Easier to do if you place something about the height of the bottom of the door to rest the door panel on.

Good luck.

I am not sure where the screws are for the mirror. I think some of the inside rubber trim has to come off.

The screw in the arm rest well is behind a little panel in the floor of the well. The panel has to be pushed down about 1/16 of an inch and then pulled toward the driver seat. Use a small thin flat blade screw driver.
