Snow!

Welp, minneapolis got our first snow storm today.. just cleared 2 inches or so off the car, I've heard anywhere from 6 to 8 will be falling. Streets are a mess with drivers who have forgotten what to do when the white stuff is on the ground... uck.

Just wanted to wish everyone a safe winter driving season ... keep those svxs, and yourselves, safe!

Thumbs up finally!

Yeah! Finally some snow for my AWD!

Since my rebuild, I notice no more 'whump' noise when AWD is engaging like I used to.

Now......gotta go put on the Toyo Observe Studless tires and go a-tearn' thru the snow.

Woohoo!

I drove from work (Nicholson Hall at the U of MN), over to Little Canada to pick up my newly finished differential, and then drove back home to SW Minneapolis. This was in a RWD Volvo without snow tires, a stiff clutch, and...suckiness.

I want my manual SVX project to be done. AWD must be nice!

Snow here too

Well, just about 20 miles east of Albuquerque, NM we've got about 4" and it's still a'snowin'. Definately glad I had AWD today to get up the huge hill in front of my house. It's days like this when I remember why I have an SVX and not something else. Other than that, it's the coolest car around anyway. Let it SNOW!!!!

Talking WOO HOO

Well, with much anticipation, we FINALLY got some snow. I was watching the news, and they were telling me it was snowing, but I didn't see any....

Then in about a half hour it dumped the snow. We had about 6 inches by lunch time, so for the drive home I was able to use my SVX for what it is for......SNOW!!!!

If all the rain we've gotten in the last two days had been snow, I wouldn't be able to SEE the SVX, much less drive it. SHEESH! Our monthly rainfall is listed at a little over four inches, and, I'd venture a guess that the lions share of it came today. My yard is a freakin' swimming pool!

Chad - saw that on the news yesterday and was thinking of you guys over there. They even mentioned Ritzville on our news last night, there was a big snow related car wreck or something. Even the Puget Sound woke up to snow yesterday morning, took everyone by surprise. By afternoon it turned to rain and melted though.

Come on down, Lwin! Just make sure you're wearing your "hazmat" swimming suit. I'm afraid the "seepage" from the adjoining cow pastures would not be to kind to the skin.
