The Harley and the SVX
While the number of Harleys back in Milwaukee for the reunion is already up past 500,000 expected to break one million, It is getting harder and harder to go out without seeing people drooling all over the shiny chrome.
I was quite surprised when two Harley riders from Texas started asking me about my SVX. It turns out that they are as interested in the SVX as all the spectators are in seeing their bikes. It is quite a site to see. Today I was on the freeway and heading into town was a procession of motorcycle cops from all over the US on their way into town. There must have been 200 of them, all with their flashing lights on. They were painted in every color scheme imaginable and the cops were wearing every type of uniform you can picture. It was really interesting last night to see a guy from The Outlaws gang and a Milwaukee motorcycle cop chatting to each other on a street corner about their bikes. Luckily I live within a few blocks of three different block parties this weekend, so I will be packing up the camera and a backpack of beer and walking out to see the sights! Doug

My envy has no bounds!
Wish I could afford to be there. To many project in the air right now to even imagine leaving home.

i don't know if you guys remember that we had one of our officers get shot and almost killed...
they had a bike thing for him to raise money...they expected about 300 bikes, it was more like 3,000. it took them about 20 minutes to all ride by one traffic light, which was held green for them...what was neat about it, was that the hard core harley drivers and the riced out crotchrockets all came together as one for this occasion. lucky you Doug...just doen't wear a "this B**** don't fall off" t-shirt Kelli

In the Area
I was in the Chicago area when all the Harleys were going back home this past weekend. It sucked for them, they rode back in the rain. The smart ones had a trailer for their bikes. I was going home myself, I got stuck at all the toll ways with the rest of the labor day general public and Harley riders in the rain in my SVX. I was hoping I would see another SVX when I was in town oh well.

I didn't actually sort through them, I just uploaded all of them. There may be a few NC-17 photos in there. I was pretty drunk during most of the pictures. Doug
