smoke

i got smoke from my engine compartment last night. right above the tranny. i think i boiled off a lot of my tranny fluid. i had a long drive and exceeded 120mph on a few occasions. also i left it in 2 on accident (D'oh! >_<) and i thought it was acting up and redlined it for a few seconds.

the good part is i smoked that turbo olds quad4 5 spd. mwa haha.

i know the auto tranny is very susceptile to heat and should be babied as often as possible. just wondering: has anyone else ever experienced this? smoke coming from that area?

edgo looked at it and said some hoses were wet and loose. i didnt see them. im out here in wasilla (bush country) where theres a lot of rocks and dirt roads. i heard some clunks and maybe something got knocked loose. it didnt act funny or anything. just looking for suggestions on what to look for or what may happen in the near future.

hmmm.... mhm mhm mhm. it seems many people are having power steering leaks and that would be something worth checking out.
