Talking Semi-OT:: Carnauba Wax Rules!

Recently, my friend and I took the day and washed, waxed and basically cleaned the cars inside and out. My SVX shines like no other now. On the way back to my house, I stopped next to a Corvette that had been purchased new within the last week... The SVX was cleaner and shinier Anyway, I just thought I would like to say that Mother's Carnauba rules! (I will have pictures soon)

Oh, and I am also very happy since the same friend and I installed a 10-Disc changer

If you subscribe to the philospohy that if some is good, and more is better, then too much ought to be just enough, then look at this wax product.

CAUTION: those who can't control their spending, or already have a second mortgage, should not look at this.

Refillable for life! Perfect for all those people who wax their cars once a day and who have lots of years left to do that.

I'll test that stuff if anyone here wants to send me some.

I showed that stuff to a few people here at the office, and we have a couple questions:

1. Since it's made of so many fruity products, doe it attract animals?

2. If it melts in your hand, does it just drip off in sunlight? 'Augh, I can't get in to my car because it's in the middle of a big, waxy puddle.'

Zymol is some of the best wax you can buy, even the 12 dollar bottled kind. HEre's a wax comparison link:

Zymol is THE wax to use, screw everything else.

This stuff costs a little more that $12.00 Rob, but I am sure it is good! It had better be for that price!

1. Don't know. Do you like to attract animals? What do you do with the animals?

2. Yes, if the sunlight is intense enough (like in Florida). Seriously with a dark colored car and tropical sun intensity, wax life is greatly reduced. That's why I always use a polymer sealant, then wax over that for enhancement (if desired). Wax does give that "wet look", but polymers have more shine and last many times longer (talk to someone who uses Zaino, Klasse, Blackfire, Liquid Glass).

I now use Liquid Glass because it's available locally at different parts houses, and a pint is enough to do my 3 cars twice a year each for about $15. Actually, my wife's 4Runner is still beading up gangbusters and it's on it's 14th month (but she only drives 8K miles a year, rest of the time it's garaged).

Actually, there's some fine print somewhere that they will only do something like one or two refills a year (I guess they're afraid some other wise upstanding organization, like SVX World Network, would buy one jar and pass it around).

Zymol smells like a Pina Colada. Makes me want to drink it.

Shines the car good, too... though it has a tendency to leave an annoying dust on everything until you spray it down afterwards.
