About To Clean My New SVX

First off I want to say thanks to everyone who gave me advice and suggestions when I was shopping for a car. I bought the one from Pittkid yesterday. Drove from Philly to Pittsburgh and back in one day...300+ miles on less than a tank of gas.

Anyways, I was wondering...Is there anything you can clean the suede with? Also, seems to be some oil on the carpet...What can I use to get that out?

Thanks.

Congrats stacey! I'm assuming the carpet could be cleaned using any carpet cleaner.

The suede is a synthetic material that you should blot, not rub into with whatever you use to clean it. I'm not sure what you should use but hopefully someone can answer that.

There are hundreds of posts on cleaning the Escaine(suede). Try Resolve carpet spray according to directions. And, to repeat - always blot, never rub. You may need several applications, but it cleaned mine very nicely.

Ron.

Watch the rag on that black paint. It will swirl and scratch very easily.

Stacey,

Congratulations. I hope that you get as much joy from your SVX as I do from mine.

The SVX is a great car to take people to give a ride in. I give a lot of girls rides and I always get the same reaction and astonishment:

"Hey whats that black line across your windows?
*accidentally hits power window switch*
Wow it opens under the line! Thats so cool!

Thanks, Johnny.

And Tim, I don't plan on picking up/around a lot of girls. Haha.
Glad it works for you, though.

Please, do not rob. I did it, and men, that was a mistake.

I hope your are joking. I had LOTS OF FUN doing speakers, especially back ones. It does take a lot of patience to get it done right, and not destroying anything.
