Sweet
good stuff man..i saw your post in the miata forums when i was poking around there...i'm looking to buy a 1999 miata for about 6k. i've been reading about monster miatas, but it would be far truer to the intent of the car to have a lower center of gravity boxer engine in it than a 5 liter v8, especially since you'd be developing the same power N/A.
Very curious to see how it goes. Who knows, maybe someday soon i might be doing the same thing you are.... good luck and keep us updated. |

You might be able to find a transmission adaptor, or have one made, that will let you bolt the EG33 to the stock 5 speed. Don't know if it would hold up though
And the 3000GT VR-4 twin turbo was only available in a manual since Mitsub*tchy didn't have an automatic that would handle the torque from the twin-turbo V6. Same reason our cars came only in automatic (except even the automatic didn't hold up that well ) I know the feeling though, here in town there is a pretty nice red NSX that I used to over then one day I saw it in a parking lot and I looked in, and it was an automatic
