Spring meet / Going away party for Craig....

Well it is starting to get warm out and my car is finally starting to recover from the methanol debacle. Who wants to start thinking about a meet? This will probably be Craig's last meet (at least for a while). Place and date? I was thinking about Castle Island in Boston. It is a nice location and we could have a BBQ and just chill out right there.....

What's Castle Island? I know I'd like to do a "get stuff done on your [and other peoples] SVX('s)" meet before I take off. I've got quite a few mods to get slapped on, as you know.

Maybe by the time we get this set I'll have my new 18's as to NOT have to deal with the tire pressure problem which I'm convinced at this point is a bad valve stem. It seems fine till i get on the road so after all the leak testing that's all it can be. I really just want my new 18's though. One of the last things I"ll be buying for the SVX for a while. The other is the CV axle and maybe O Tom's brake upgrade kit. As the new Engine is up on the stand and ready to start the tear down to have it ready for the Impreza. So what time frame are we looking at before you launch of Craig?

Say some saturday before he leaves people can come here to work on the cars in the AM and then convoy somewhere for dinner. Castle Island is in Boston Harbor. It is an old fort and is connected to the mainland by a causeway as well as a huge hot spot in the summer for BBQ's and stuff.

that'd be good. I just ordered my CV axle fom O Tom just now and we can do Craig's and mine. I'm sure I've been to Castle Island but not since I was like 10. Sounds like a sweet idea though. Shall we invite a few non-SVX guys. I have a friend that's come with me before on SVX stuff that might need some work on his Impreza of just want to come. That one's up to you Bobby.

I already did my CV axle - I've actually done both of em, so I've got it down to a science.

Sundays work MUCH better for me Bobby, if we can do it. If you want to do Sat. I need a defineate date SOON so I can take it off.

I'm leaving the 2nd of May, which is a Friday. The week leading up to it I have off from work (Last day at work is the 25th). So perhaps the 26th, which is a Saturday?

+1 for the 26th! It gets hard to take days off for me so that would work perfect. I"ll have my new rims. Craig will have his(hopefully). We can all relax a lot more too I think. Weather's been getting really nice too.

That's definitely the best day for me - and it's the only Saturday I can do, which David can't do it if we do it on a Sunday (My only day off).
