The 86-88 951's (cars I know you know alot about Greg) were 217 crank hp stock (88 S and all 89's were 250 crank hp). I have seen on Rennlist cars getting 363 to the rear wheels on stock internals. That's pretty close. But like I said, I give the 4G63 credit, the 88 Turbo S cost over $60,000 in 1988 when a V-8 Z-28 cost $14,000.

The Vitesse system has gotten over 500hp on 944s... (I haven't seen the dynosheets, but reliable first hand source) Impressive feat to be sure.

I guess as my two cars are a DSM and an SVX, and I know the strengths and weaknesses of each, having everyone jump all over them like it was a Ne0n was a bit much. For me, I love the comfort, style, smoothness, and overall feel of the SVX (highway cruiser)... But its too damn expensive to make fast. I'll have a high 11 second, fully road race prepped DSM (track *****) for about what it costs to get a decent 97 SVX. (probably less) after everything is said and done, I'll probably have about the same amount of money in both cars.

Your Stealth R/T was TECHNICALLY a DSM, but in today's lingo, DSMs are the Talons, Eclipses and Lasers from 1990-1999.

While Sebrings, Avengers, Stealths and 3000gts were all "DSM" cars as well, they typically are not what the person is talking about when they say DSM. True DSMs use the 4g63, same motor as is in the new EVOs, and old starions and conquests.
