OBD-II Compliant?
Anyone know if the pre '96 SVX's are OBD-II compliant?
Thanks for any input |

Maybe, but doubtful. American cars started showing signs of OBDll in '95 and most Japanese cars lagged by a year or two with some even later. Look for a 'D' shaped data port under the dash - that's the OBDll connector. Best to post in Chris' garage, he should have an idea.

I'm 99% sure that only the 96 and 97's were obd-ii, but perhaps somebody can provide solid assurances of that.

I know that in the 96 and 97's the coin holder in the dash is replaced by a little door that hides a computer connector. I'd be willing to bet thats what that is.

Thanks for the info. Didn't think there was port on the '92 SVX's. I guess I'll have to find a '96 or '97 down the road A cheaper but still experimental/beta alternative to a $600+ OBD-II device can be found here:
