Unhappy Another Plane Down

Another plane has gone down.

Let us pray that we are not in for another September 11.

It's an Amer. Airlines flight to the Dominican Republic from JFK. It's an A-200 Airbus. It crashed in Far Rockaway, Queens, NY.
AS a teen & 20 yr. old, we used to drag race out there on Rockaway Blv'd. It was pretty sparsely populated back then. I'm sure it's very built-up now. It always was a residential and beach area.

I hope it is just a "normal aircraft accident" and no terrorism is involved.

Someone where I work came in and said: "A plane just crashed in Queens , don't you have family up there ? "
That's enough to get the old heart pumping and adrenalin flowing.

As of right now, it appears that this is engine failure.

Unhappy

Now we have to endure the media's bombardment of instant speculation that has already, mis-reported the facts a few times. It's a tragic sign of the times that we're "hoping" it's "just" a "routine" crash.
Stay tuned for another month of talking head saturation.
I pray for the families of the victims.
Ron.
