Exhausts...

So I'm planning on scapping rims this spring for a Stebro cat-back. I was just curious who else on here has this set up and what they're experiance with the system is. They claim 11hp and -25lbs. So they have my attention and I think a little more growl and bump is better than some bling.

The Stebro muffler is 7 lbs lighter than stock. The Stebro center section is 4 lbs lighter than stock. That makes for only 11 lbs lighter than stock. So Stebro's claim for weight is off by half. I think its safe to bet that their claimed 11 HP increase is also off by half. I'd figure that maybe there is 5 HP to be had with a Stebro exhaust.

I had a Stebro exhaust on my car for about a year. Loved the sound (but it was a bit loud in the cabin even with the windows rolled up). The strong points of the Stebro exhaust are its great sound and stainless steel construction.

I plan on dynoing the SVX after all is said and done. I'm baselining it here in 2 weeks. I'm looking for the more aggressive exhaust note so I think that'll suit me fine, lol.

I saw that Red Ferrari was selling his Stebro (Brand New) and cited problems with the company the problem. Has anyone else had issues with a Stebro Set up? Also does any one happen to have a sound clip of the exhaust and maybe some pics of it installed?

I could get some sound clips, but I knocked a hole in my stebro acouple weeks ago and it needs to be fixed! Luckily I never had to deal with the company, I bought the car with the exhaust on it already (previous owner had to deal with them

), it has a great sound though, like an exotic.

Many have experienced long shipping delays when ordering from Stebro. I bought mine during the group buy several years ago and got it relatively quick.

Thats what I've been hearing form everyone. If it sounds like a Porche or and Exoctic I'll be sold instantly. I'm not a big fanof the ricer buzz. As for the long shipping issues, is it because they have to custom make them with every order? Also, any under chasis shot?

forgive me if i'm wrong, but I think the Stebro is only cat-back, so 11 hp sounds VERY optimisitic.........

Understandable. I'm really tryin to get a better note out of the flat 6. HP gains are always a fun side product. Once I get the exhaust I'll dyno it again and see what I gained.
