I rescued my second SVX from Long Island. Does that count?

(Hopefully, bringing out the "Ding King" this weekend )

What do you mean by rescued? It's not a bad place. I live in Nassau county which is like the middle of the island. Not a lot of property but not a bad place.

I meant no offense. The rear bumper has several of those license plate screw indentations that our jovial, joy-spreading friend "Ca$h" is so fond of. The passenger's side door has acne from parking garage disease. Those were just the incidental damages. The R/F fender has a couple of dents in it from a Land Rover backing out of its place in a parking garage that didn't "see" the SVX.

I live in the middle of a field, so, no apartment or on-street parking, and we have our own parking lot at work, so, I don't worry about more door dings. I'm sure she's just a little happier not having to sit in bumper to bumper traffic, but going between 50 and 80 on winding country raods, on an 80 mile round trip commute each day. Winters aren't very bad, if they get bad at all, so there's very little road salt. I just think it may be a nicer place to retire.

That is all true. I hope to eventually get out of this region (money permitting). What part of Long Island did you get the car from. I live near the South Shore in the middle of Long Island and have yet to put mine in a parking garage. I have bought 2 SVX's on Long Island and 1 I had shipped from Colorado. Don't know what kind of enviornment is in Colorado Springs but it was in pretty good shape.

Gee, Larry, I really don't remember. I don't know the area very well. I flew into La Guardia, and we went directly to the Hospital where Peter (The young man I bought the car from --- Nice Guy!) is a med student.

I just re-read the post whe he first put the car up for sale. He said he got the door dings in a NYC parking garage, so, LI is now off the hook for those.

Colorado isn't allowed to use salt, so, yours should be in good shape . . . 'cept, maybe for a few rock chips on the front of the hood.

I definitely prefer areas like that. Whenever we go upstate it is just great to go out on a little boat and do some fishing. It always seems that there is noone even close to you. Those are some of my best times.

Now that is a nice road. I can't stand my streets. I can't wait to move.
