sea foam treatment

exactly what is a sea foam treatment and what dose it do ?

Its basically a all-in-one cleaner for your engine. You add it to your oil, fuel, and directly into your intake and it cleans gunk from your intake passages, injectors, engine parts, etc. Many here have used it with success for symptoms like rough idle and poor gas mileage. It can be scary when you use it in your intake directly as your car smokes like crazy, but it clears up and makes it run smoother in most cases. Check it out here.

If you do use it in your oil, make sure you change it after the cleaning cycle is done. Do NOT drive the car with the Seafoam still in the crankcase.

that stuff seems great. i have gunky crap in the intake manifold and i want it gone. i'm planning to do a full tune up and engine cleaning.

Car ran a little better, idle smoothed out. As far as power I didnt feel anything different.

one last thing, is it true that if you put to much you can hydro lock your engine ?

Nearly impossible.... you add thru a vacuum port, so it would be next to impossible to draw in that volume of the Seafoam to fill up a cylinder on one intake stroke.
