I am sold on interstate. I have one over 9 yrs year old and has sat for over a yaer several times and still works. I can't believe it still works. (my dad had a delco batt for 11 yrs!!! crazy)
I use to go thru 4-6 batt's a year when I had a system. I always got them covered under warranty, so I never upgraded the alt.

Red Top = Engine Cranking

Yellow Top = Deep Cycle / Cranking

Blue Top = RV/Marine Deep Cycle

My SVX had a COMPLETELY DEAD "Econo Power" battery in it when I bought it, I had to put my automatic charger in manual mode because the battery was at 0 volts and the charger didn't think it was connected.. After fully charging it, I tested it with the battery analyzer at work, tested good although the "state of health" was like 60%, so it'll probably get replaced before too long.

I bought a top of the line battery from Advance Auto Parts. Car starts and drives, headlights don't flicker.. I'm happy.

Yeah those Optima batteries are nuts! My friend James used to have a 76 Toyota Corolla wagon, and he didn't have his battery tied down and went around a corner and the Optima slid into the exhaust manifold, melted a hole in the whole side of the battery, still started the car without any problems.

I like 'em cuz they don't spill, and you can mount them upside down and stuff...

My buddy has a great system in his car and had nothing but bad luck with Red Tops....Some days the car wouldn't start and he had everything checked...just the battery was bad. But he is using two competion audio batteries...I forget the names...SVT series or something like that and he has no problems now.
