Vacuum Lines

I need some of the vacuum lines that link up to the plastic thing that links up to the intake manifold, and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a hold of them. My local dealer and all the local parts stores are unable to order those parts for me. I may also need the plastic part that the lines hook up to replaced as well. I have seen some of the pics in lockers have metal replacements and was wondering where I could get a hold of one of those as well.

Vacuum lines, you can buy by at any auto parts store and cut to length. If you're referring to the formed crankcase-ventilation hoses, they ought to be available from Subaru.

Hiya,

The metal replacement is the big black plastic box under the h-6 plastic guard. The lines are the ones comming out of the right side of it, one of which goes under the intake manifold and gets bent around. They are all prebent though. I have replaced some with flexible heater hose, but i can't get the one that bends back towards itself to be replaced, i can't get a prebent one either from the dealer or parts stores.

All those hoses are still available from Subaru. I suggest you find a better dealer who can look them up and sell them to you.

I replaced some vacuum lines with hoses I bought from an auto store and they all cracked within a few months. I just ordered all new hoses from Subaruparts.com

I'm not surprised that they cracked. Most people balk at the price of OEM parts but in the end whats more expensive doing the job right the first time with quality parts that in most cases lasted 10-15 years before failing or going with the cheap $1 a foot hose? Almost all the hoses under the intake manifold are precurved and when you try to curve straight vacuum hose you kink it.

Yeah, i may just do that, does anyone have the part numbers?

I am running on origional lines, so i think replacing with OEM is the best option.

I've searched all over but can't find any part numbers to associate with the picture above. I need several of the hoses and can't find them anywhere.

Print out the pictures or save them to disk and take them to your dealer that said you can't get them. You will be paying retail prices so you are the customer. Let them or make them do there job by looking up the part numbers and sell you the parts.
