Cool Motor is in

I just finished getting my motor into Road Demon tonight and it runs excellently! It has even more oomph now which is kinda scary(I fear for my tranny and diffs lives everytime I dip past 1/2 throttle) and no leaks, No smoke, and no knocks or ticks. Now to get onto the fun stuff. Next week the battery moves to the trunk and a few other performance mods and cosmetic goodies get thrown on. This is gettin' fun!

Getting fun? You mean the whole process wasn't fun to begin with? Congrats on the motor.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, scotch in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA !!!!!

Just because my motor is stock internally doesn't mean it isn't quite powerful as Subaru gave me some things to work with, Plus we all know about the issues with trannies and front diffs and without a build up they don't last forever. I'm much more concerned with the front diff though over the tranny as I've already killed one. I'm glad you guys are still awake out there to try to tear apart everything I say. It'd be boring without you.

Sorry, we were both a bit sauced at the time... but it still begs the questions as to why a stock engine would make you fear for ur diff?? I mean, old tom is making 300 plus ponies with his s/c and he hasn't had any problems yet... LAN is running 12psi and a dynoed 270 wheel horse and hasn't eaten a diff yet.... Just begs the question as to why 230 crank will hurt urs??

All I know is Chike and I have both cracked diffs which lead to total failure and I'm almost willing to bet that eventually the same thing will happen to Tom and the others. I've had 3 other SVX's come in now with the diff cases cracked up and they were all stock, So it is obviously a weak point to show concern for.

P.S. I'm making more than 230 at the crank.

I would love to know how you are making up for 15 years of wear and then exceeding the std power limit while still using the stock MAF. Considering that the MAF maxes out before a stock power level is peaked.
