The SVX? No it isn't. All '93s were red LS-L models. Either you're mistaken about the year, the seller is mistaken about the year, or it's the very first non-red, non-LS-L '93 I've ever seen. And in seven years I've seen a few SVXs, so you tell me.

Concerning the trade, I don't know. In my opinion, it's not a drag car. If you're really concerned about tuning and drag racing, there are far easier cars to mod and race out there. I love the SVX to death, but it's a GT, not a pony car.

to be honest, I would not take the trade... Hold out for a better offer or sell the DSM and get a stock SVX.

I agree with Tom on this one.

Sell your ride and roll it over into the cleanest, low mileage (less than 160,000) SVX you can find in your area, if you really like them. They are still around.

I just bought my Teal 92 (identical to the one you are thinking of purchasing) for $6,500 and it has 56K.

If gas mileage is a concern just realize these things only get 18 or 19 mpg around town for the most part.

It's a 1992 Teal with gray interior and motorized seatbelts. All 93's were red with beige interior.

However, it could be a leftover 1992 production car that was not sold until 1993. Subaru SVX sales in 1993 were 3859, even though only 301 1993 25th Anniversary SVX's were actually produced by the factory.

These figures came from Joe Spitz's site HERE

That's what I was thinking. The leftover 92s sold in the 93 model year might as well be called 93s since the "real" 93s as we know are "special" editions.

I really appreciate all you guys' honesty. Other forums could learn from you guys, as you are true car enthusiasts. Being honest like you were, giving me all the information you could. I know on the DSM forums most people come over there asking questions about getting a DSM, and very few tell them not to do it. I appreciate the help again everyone. Looks like Im keeping the DSM for now.
