My first car was a 1968 Thunderbird, and it had sequential turn signals.. It had 4 bubls on each side.. I wonder if we can do something like that? There will only be 2 on each side, but should be possible with a relay..

That light bar looks like the type used in Close Encounters!!!! Make sure to install a Radio Shack synthisizer before you get a strong urge to go west to meet the aliens!!!! Also, take some sun block with you. John

Do the lights blink? Does the blinking light pattern go from side to side or what?

I WANT THIS FOR MY CAR

Is it legal in New Jersey? I found out from Kelli, the under the car Neon lights are not legal

How about a movie clip?

The T-Birds used a distributor-like device in the trunk to drive the lights. A small motor would spin a contact/rotor across a series of contacts to create the effect. Today it would be done simply with a $325 electronic controller.

You think that's funny - type 'knight rider' into a search engine and you will see something really funny. There are actually people who have made entire cars to look like 'kitt'. Fake computers, digital displays, lighted gas pedals.... They even have a registry for all of the cars used in different episodes of the show.
I thought us svx guys were a bunch of freaks....

Yup Beav, I know that system well.. When I bought the car, the lights didn't work.. It took me 3 weeks of testing the wires in different spots to finally get them to work right!

I was looking at some pictures I took of the car a few minutes ago, and I noticed this. I had seen the things in the grille before but assumed they were normal. I'm going to have to go out and see if they work in a few minutes
Uh...

Is it just me or does the damn thing look like it was nicely PSed.

General rule of thumb. Most likely not -- as in it will be legal to put in but not legal to drive with them on. I know they are not blue or red but it's the same thing with my wig-wags.

Just don't use it infront of the cops.
