HELP!?...TRANNY/ENGINE problem...???
I just noticed (just prior to a trip)..that when I stomp on the accelerator (and expect that powerful surge we're used to with our wonderful SVX "sports cars") WHILE IN "D" (4th gear)...I GET A SOUND LIKE SEVERE KNOCKING....AND NO POWER OR ACCELERATION! The RPM's are around 5000...nowhere near redline...? However, when I accelerate (stomp on accelerator) in 3rd gear...it seems fairly normal (without the "knock")...and it accelerates decently..?
I have a SmallCar.com shift kit. I've never had any problem with the tranny or shift characteristics after that install about 2 years ago! Please HELP! Any help would be greatly appreciated...  P.S. I did AT flush..replacing entire ATF with Redline D4 ATF about 1 1/2 years ago.. . . .

hmm, so it seems that it will shift from 3 to 2 but not 4 to 2?
At what speeds?

Actually, it seems worse than that! It will drop (probably to 2nd?), BUT it doesn't act right at all...It sounds and feels like it's slipping....and also with major "knock" type sounds. There is virtually no acceleration when this happens!
COULD IT BE THE SHIFT KIT?
