Oooooooo, very nice. Was there a point to this post, or was it just the pics? I'm thinking about picking up a 1g to use as a winter car, that is, if I can find one at the right price.

Yeah, and thanks for posting them - it'll be cool to see your progress.

The Hyundai engine (or at least valve cover) just makes me wonder - as does the 'hood scoop.' Is that PL200 or latex bathroom sealant around the hole?

The 4G63 was used in quite a few cars. My guess is that he wanted to replace his early 4G63 with one of the later blocks that don't tend to crankwalk, so he lifted one from a Sonata.

Definitely a project car, Solar. That isn't a genuine "hooked up" hood scoop is it? I'll be curious to view your progress as I think they are fun cars and would not mind having one myself.
