rear differential removal issue

I'm working on removing the rear diff but I can't figure out how to get the half shafts out. There is supposedly a c clip but I can't seem to find it. I've pryed against that green cylinder piece to try to get it to move out but haven't gotten any budge.
I also unbolted the two side plates to see if that would help but I haven't made any progress.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Re: rear differential removal issue

They did indeed. Thank you. It was tougher to get out than I antisipated and than the directions seemed. Gave it a good tug with my framing hammer.
