Electronic engine Immobilizer

Don't know if its the exact english word but: My car has an Immobilizer system (maybe it's in any SVX ??) which will be armed when I lock my car with the wireless key function. A red LED on top of the steering cover panel shows the right function. Now i can't lock the car with the key anymore (the battery in the key is still allright) and the red LED is not working anymore. I lock my car via keyhole now but the immobilizer system does not work, i assume!?

1. How can I check the function of the Imobilizer System?
2 Where are the components of the system?

thx for any help says eddy from Germany

Have you had the battery disconnected on your car for awhile?

Try reprogramming your keyless remote and see if that fixes it.

There should be a write-up on how to reset it in the "how-to's"

Probably not if the system is aftermarket.

From his post it doesn't sound like he has an aftermarket system.

Remember his SVX is not a USDM model, some markets got different stock alarms.
