Does anybody know of a shop in the NYC area that can do a 5 speed conversion on my 92 SVX?

don't know of any shop in the area to do the conversion but I live in Westchester also and wondered where you had the car serviced since I'm not satisfied with the local subaru dealers

I've been using Prestige Imports in Pleasantville. They are the largest Subaru dealership in Westchester and have treated me very fair. They know their stuff.

I own AZP Installs here in NNJ, this is a bit out of the scope of what we'd be able to do for you, although I'm planning on doing this sometime in the next year or so.

Well I'm doing one right now for someone from O.C. N.Y. I wouldn't exactly say I'm close but I don't know who else in New England is doing them. My going labor rate seems to be in the $1,000 t0 $1,200 range. Depending on how cheap you can get the tranny depends on the total cost. If you can get a good deal on a non blown up WRX tranny then the job can be done for around $3,000 total.
