Welding
The oil pump cover and shaft is broken. I am considering having this welded.
Does anyone have any experience with this sort of repair ?ie the problem was caused by my badly aligning the transmission to the differential - there does not appear to be a great deal of stress(torque) on this unit as it remains stationary and hold the internal vein of the TC. It would be great if any of you guys has an opinion on this. At the moment repair seems to be my only option ( there are very few SVXs in Europe and less than 10 in France - plus no-one here has any experience in auto trannys!!) Many thanks RON Thanks a lot everyone who has replied so far. |

I bet if you took this item to a reputable machine shop who has different welding machines (MIG, TIG, etc) they can weld it for you. Did you want to order one from the US as a spare?

Hi,
Don't know if the cover is available on its own - ideally it would be great to get a used spare either the cover or the whole pump. A new one would depend on price etc. Thanks for your help Ron |
