Talking I Just Bought A 1995 Svx!

Today I bought a one owner SVX that I found about 200 miles from me! Its got 136000 miles on it and there are very minor things wrong with it , (like dings in the body) but it runs like its brand new! OMG even my husband likes it! Since hes a truck driver, he wasnt thrilled about a 200 mile trip on his rare vacation day off, but hes almost as tickeled with this one as I am! Anyways, heres the specs on the car I bought today....I cant figure out how to send a link to see the pics...BTW, I havent found ANYTHING that doesnt work on this car yet!

Congrats,
Insurance is like anything else, dependent on a formula beyond the average person's ability. If you have good credit, are over 25, live in a area not deemed for idiot drivers, a decent driving record in the last 3-5 years and all you should be able to insure it for under $600 a year with a $500 comprehensive/collision deductable at 100k/300k unstacked limited tort. If you don't owe anything on it then I'd personally recommend basic liability with GLASS COVERAGE. Insurance companies will total the car out and give you peanuts as a windshield, bumper cover and hood would cost about what its worth. Glass coverage though is a must as it'll actually pay for itself 10 fold if in a 8 year period you break the $1000 windshield which you can't get on the aftermarket scene and used is tough as the gasket is fused to the glass and you can't just buy a new gasket. It only adds about $10-20 a year on a policy well worth it!

Well since I paid cash for it, thats a great idea. I am 38,F live in VA around Lynchburg and have a excellant driving record.(WHEW that was starting to sound like a personal ad!) Thanks for the much needed info. I keep running to the door and looking at it! I just wish my family room was on the garage side of my house so I could just look out the window!

Too funny ! Congrats on the new SVX. I felt the same way when I got mine. My kitchen has a window to the garage so I have that one on you. hehehe. Welcome to the family!

I hope you don't have to spend as much time actually in the garage working on it like I did. Time and money well spent. Cool cars!
