Buying:Spend a crap loud now, or just find a steal?
Okay personally i know what id like to do already, but im curious to here from your experiences,
anyways im looking into a SVX and the whole point is that its a nice, refined, sophisticated and comfy(without being boring) Grand tourer, so with that said isnt it the best idea to go and spend as much money as a have to to get the nicest one i can find for the price? any flaws in this logic as you guys see it? |

The only thing to watch out for is the price may or may not actually reflect the condition it is in.
Find one that looks good, check it out, buy it if you like it. You might as well save some money for the repairs you will inevitably need performed. I myself would try to get one from someone on the network, preferrably one that has been modded a bit and might cost a little more, but the work is done.

Your thinking is correct - the BEST money you spend is the FIRST money you spend when buying a car. Buy the very best car you can afford and you will be much happier. Old cars, like old boats and old airplanes usually require a large investment of time and money to bring them back to life. The value of a SVX, like all used cars, is first dependent upon condition, second on mileage and finally on age. The latter year cars may have fewer inherent problems than earlier production models. Lower mileage may mean less wear and tear on the car over time. Overall condition reflects a degree of maintenance and care for the car, regardless of its age or mileage. Best wishes.
